Do they even brew beer there anymore, or is Shipyard making the draft product as well as the bottles?

I dunno. We hosted a Benedicte Maurseth, a young Norwegian Hardanger fiddle player (P00N, the Vikings took the fiddle to Ireland!) at the American Folk Festival last weekend and as the Sea Dog was in the in the middle of the festival we drank copious amounts of beer there. I had stopped going to the SD and this was my first visit in several years. I was pleasantly surprised. We had a selection of ales (no berry ones!) and found them excellent. The food, however is eh, at best. Pub fare. The rear deck over looking the Penobscot River is the best view in town. Go for it.

C'mon Markie, fess up. As you must of had too much of that blueberry stuff. Either that or it was the music, the moment and the view, Sea Hag's best is at best okay. I admit to a couple of stop-by's a year at the Topsham location. Too bad that Gritty's doesn't operate both of those locations as their ales are far superior. It is a great view, at both SH locations, when you can actually get on the usually, on a good day, crowded decks. It's been a year since last in Bangor, but unless things have gone radically down hill, I'm going to either or both Geaghan's http://geaghanspub.com and The Whig and Courier pubs. http://www.whigandcourier.com/ But of course, the best of the bunch, both coming and going to Bangor, is Hallowell's The Liberal Cup. Always drink and drive responsibly and always ask DW to be DD on a roadtrip. Off to VT for the long weekend, sans laptop, so have a safe & happy Labor Day, Jersey Boy :-0)

At the same intersection as W&C is also Paddy Murphy's, right up your alley. I'll still take the river view.
