  1. Not laylag, but, for fabulous fresh fish, and fun atmosphere, we love (and have returned to, for the same reasons cited by laylag) Telly's Taverna.

Second Telly's. [especially after their expansion].

      2. Hey Rafi - sorry just saw this. We were introduced by friends to a place in Little Neck on Northern Blvd. called Greek Islands. It is excellent, fresh, tasty, wonderfully warm service and just a hop skip and jump over the Throg's Neck.

thanks! living in larchmont, little neck is the same distance from me as sleepy hollow. i will definitely try it at some point.

I'm in Mmk so same here. Oh, and the prices at Greek Island are very reasonable too.

        2. Ever so slightly closer to the Throgs Neck than Greek Islands is Avli on Bell Blvd. in Bayside. My Greek mom-in-law says they have the most authentic Greek food in town (besides what she makes at home), and she's hard to please!

Good to know Plomeek. Will give Avli a try.
