Looking for a place that serves local wines
Hey there- I would love to know if anyone can recommend a restaurant anywhere from the westside to Hollywood that carries local or central valley wines. Thanks!

There are probably dozens of them -- not to mention all the BYOBs. It depends what you consider "local" -- there are only a couple of wineries in LA County, but if you expand to Temecula and Santa Ynez, the wines are very, very common.
I don't know if any of them specialise in them, though.

Some of the Santa Ynez wineries happen to be quite good if not outstanding. Boneyard Bistro which I believe has a website carries a good selection. Central Coast has some of the most dynamic wineries in the state expecially in the areas of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and a few outstanding Syrahs. Also watch for tempranillo wines out of Central Coast. You might also want to check out Max's in Sherman Oaks.

When you said "local" the first place to come to mind in a funny way was San Antonio Winery downtown.

For an inexpensive sandwich at lunch with an inexpensive glass of red I would recommend the place. With the exception of some of their imported wines they represent I don't think the offerings are quite good enough.

FYI: They're the largest sacramental wine supplier in the country controlling about 2/3 of the market.
