Looking for Great Cookies in Cleveland

I'm looking for great frosted sugar cookies in the Cleveland, Ohio area. I'm going to need about 200 of them. They don't need to be fancy; they just need to taste great. Many of the cookies I've sampled so far have looked nice, but tasted like cardboard. Can anyone provide a recommendation?

I love Corbo's cookies in Little Italy.

I asked William Davis at Appetite Bakery if they do cookies and he said yes. Chef Bennett Davis, the pastry chef, is a CIA graduate, former head of pastry at Moxie, and a really great guy. Give them a call at 440-467-800. The store is located at 5143 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst.

There are so many great bakeries in Cleveland. What side of town are you looking for? If it were me, I'd just go to the west side market on a saturday and try all the sugar cookies I could see there, then go with the one that tasted best.

Any side of town is do-able. But I like the idea of the West Side Market.

Gallucis make a incredible lemon sugar cookie, but I'm not sure it is what you have in mind. It is about the size of a half dollar and they are iced with a glaze and sprinkles. Ive spent a few years in a bakery, but these things are addictive.

Prestis on Mayfield rd. is another place I might try. They aren't cheap, but they do a very good job.
