Any recommendations? I'm looking for the occasional fairly quick lunch, in and out in 20 minutes. Tasty, filling, cheap. Thanks!

Saravanaas for southern indian; Curry Leaf for northern indian.

Both are top notch, and never disappoint.

I was very underwhelmed by Curry Leaf the one time I tried it.

Ditto, underwhelmed by Curry Leaf (for lunch).

Bummer. Any suggestions for better North Indian with meat and veggie options in the immediate area?

Love Saravanaas. I also second Curry Leaf, which was my go-to place for delivery. They're owned by the Kalyustans folks.

One option that these older threads may not have is the takeout stand at Tabla's Bread Bar:

My top 3 preferences: 1) Saravanaas, 2) Tiffin Wallah, 3) Chennai Garden. All delicious in their own ways, but Saravanaas is just such a winner. The only thing I don't like about it is no bhel puri.

Bhel puri is pretty much a Mumbai & Gujarati specialty.
