Clam Box Ipswich vs Quincy
hey all...
i searched on this topic but found no direct comparison. i found plenty of favorable opinions on both, but if it were between the two, which would you choose? ( i know that there is no connection between the two restaurants)
craving fried clams for lunch today so trying to make the decision between quincy (closer in proximity) and ipswich (has the white farms ice cream bonus).

As far as I'm concerned, White Farms alone is enough of a reason to tip the scales in favor of the Ipswich Clam box. We stopped there for ice cream this past weekend --my first time ---and enjoyed probably the best hard frozen yogurt I've ever tasted --mint chocolate chip, flavorful, delicious --really really good. Can't comment abt the Ipswich vs Quincy clams...but the ice cream --amazing.

My comments would mirror Joanie & Allstonian's exactly.
It's a little unfair to the Quincy CB matching them in a popularity poll, however, IMO.
There will be far more Hounds likely to post in favor of Ipswich's CB because it has been and is a Foodie destination of long standing and rightfully so. Consequently, it gets all the press from Chronicle to TV Diner and The Phantom Gourmet. I don't mean to slight the people in the Quincy camp but it just isn't a fair fight.Harp

re: Pegmeister
That's okay Pegmeister,
And with the SS having so far fewer full belly quality options than the NS we'll only stop by when in the area. We've got more than enough other destinations worth driving to up here on the NS when "the real" CB is jammed. As opposed to; Tony's or CB, Tony's or CB, or CB or Tony's? :-)Harp
