What's good between downtown and Barrie on mondays?

We're supposed to be meeting up with some friends from Barrie (we live near High Park) and are having trouble finding a (sort-of) midway place. We were going to meet at the mexican place near Vaughan Mills (which is pretty close to half way at least time wise) - but they are closed on Monday.

Any other suggestions around that area / Woodbridge / Concord. Price is not really an issue, we're happy to have good cheap ethnic style food or higher end would easily work as well (as long as it's good value). We are pretty wide open, I would imagine that Woodbridge would have some chow finds at the very least in the Italian dept. The places I've found on some old threads include:

Memphis BBQ, Marcello's, Koganei, YANG's Teppanyaki & Sushi, Romanos, Maestro Roberto's and Bill's Pitt

(but I haven't seen much recently on these)

  1. I've heard of Zizi Trattoria in Woodbridge on Hwy 7 just west of Weston Rd but haven't been so I can't tell you anything about it.

      Thanks JamieK...
We wound up at Koganei - it was ok. Pretty good value for money. 4 of us spent about $170 with beers. The best dish was the BBQ eel/unagi. Their yellowtail sushi was also quite good. Spider rolls were not bad and the rest was fairly typical of low/moderate price sushi places.
