Pholicious, the pho place across from the new LeeLee's on the west side, has four or five hotpots on the menu. I've had the seafood one. Not much English spoken there, but pretty good food.

Curious to know... are hot pots generally defined as a big bowl of soup/etc. brought to the table or are they the pots where one actually cooks in the middle of the table?

Dunno what the OP was referring to, but "hot pot" is a general generic term that can refer to many types of foods served/prepared/eaten out of a pot, or other earthen ware.

Hot pots where the diner cooks their food vary region to region and from cuisine to cuisine -- e.g., shabu-shabu (Japanese), sukiyaki (both Japanese and Thai), fondue (French/Swiss and American), shin sul ro (Korean), etc.
