If by "next Monday" you mean August 25, Boulevard.

If you mean September 1 aka Labor Day, most places are closed. Best bet is probably Jeanty @ Jack's.

Yea, the 25th. Thanks for the suggestions! I have been to Blvds for dinner but didn't know if lunch was a option. I think that will be the choice.

Hog Island Oyster Company in the Ferry Building. Great oysters, good grilled cheese, and a perfect spot to wait for the ferry.

I agree completely. I love their non-traditional chowder also.

Unless my geography is off, some of the other suggestions are further than you are going to want to walk with luggage (particularly Perbacco).

If you're getting off at the BART Embarcadero station, several good options, depending on how fancy/dressy/expensive you would like:

        - Boulevard (classic high-end Californian)
        - One Market (Bradley Ogden's @ 1 Market)
        - Ozumo (interesting Japanese-ish)
        - Perbacco (nice Italian)
        - Tadich Grill (classic SF)
        - Sens (upstairs in Embarcadero) - nice modern Mediterranean (?)

All of these are within a 1-2 block walk, easy with suitcases if they are rollers or not too heavy.

Most should be open for lunch, but hit OpenTable for these downtown spots and you can see what's available in the Financial District.

Except, of course, for Tadich which does not take reservations nor make allowances for people with carry-in luggage.

          Boulette's would be good.

Everything sounds good. I think I've walked by, it's in the Ferry Building? Thanks for the help.
