I'm looking for an interesting weekend lunch spot for my daughter and me that doesnt involve the typical brunch fare. (Several places I was thinking of Cafe Maude, Mpls Grand Cafe, do the egg and cereal thing on the weekend, and other favorites are not open at all, including Saffron which used to be open for lunch) Something more formal than Seasalt but not stuffy. I havent been to 20.21 in years. Is that still worth it? We live in the northeastern burbs (not much out here!)

I've never been a fan of 20.21. How about Meritage in St. Paul (as long as you're not going during the republican convention?) Lovely sidewalk dining available.

My mom and I recently had a beautiful lunch at Spoonriver's sidewalk cafe (Mill City/Guthrie block of Mpls). Really nice, fresh salads. That area is one of my favorites, too, for taking a walk and seeing some of Mpls's best views on a summer afternoon.
