ISO: French Restaurant in Tokyo (Lunch)
Hi,
I would like you guys to recommend a French restaurant with Tasting menu and wine pairing in Tokyo area for lunch.
(I've been to La Rochelle last year, which I like it. )
Hope u guys can help out.
thanks!!!

L'Atelier de Joel Robouchon at Roppongi Hills. Their 6900 Yen Luncheon Tasting Menu was very good. Better than La Rochelle's, which incidentally I also tried last year!
Unsure when your trip is. However, if you have time, try making reservations at the Michelin 3* Quintessence. Heard a lot of great things about it but really hard to make a reservation!

sounds like Quintessence is a good choice, do they have a wine pairing program? My trip will be in mid-dec., i think I should have plenty of time to make the reservation.
thanks

I'm not sure whether they have a wine pairing program. However, they do have a strong 500 wine, wine list with main focus on French label. May be you can extract more information from their website at www.quintessence.jp.
BTW, their luncheon tasting menu has 7 courses.
Good luck!

how does L'Atelier lunch tasting compare with Chateau Joel Robuchon lunch tasting? TIA

did the lunch tasting for Y12300 + 12% at Robuchon. Not recommended. amuse (a watermelon/tomato water shooter) + uni in gelee + asparugus w/ deconstructed Caesar dressing + bass w/ lemongrass curry + beef + 2 desserts + bread cart. Perhaps the dinner would be more inspiring, like the Robuchon dinner at Las Vegas.
