Restos near Toronto Centre for Arts?

Two couples are going there and are looking for your recos on some favs nearby (within walking distance I suppose).. We're not familiar with what's in that neighbourhood. Price is not a concern nor the type of cuisine.

Hoping you can help out.
Thanks.

Mezza Notte Trattoria was suggested to me on these boards. Good Italian food and nice ambience.

meclone2... I'm glad you enjoyed Mezza Notte Trattoria. It's my favourite unsung Italian resto when I worked near the area. Can't wait to return when we catch 'Jersey Boys'. Great simple Italian food, very reasonably priced.

Auberge du pommier is just south of there (just south of the 401) and has a parking lot. The food there is great and worth going through the extra effort if in that area anyway. The place is accessible by car or subway.

If you like indian then I would recommend Cuisine of India. Definitely within walking distance and a relatively quick meal if you have theatre tickets.

I assume you mean near Yonge and Sheppard. This isn't exactly a foodie neighbourhood but I'll give it a go.

            1. Tuyen-Thai fusion, really good value, nice decor too.
            2. Asian Legend-Chinese, very good quality chinese food.
            3. Pho 88-Pho and more. I'd get the Bun though.
            4. Soltani-Persian place, not bad for walkin distance
