Fairfield - Eighth annual candy festival?

rworange Aug 21, 2008 08:12 PM

Has anyone attended in the past? Is it worth it?

The website says it has 30 Candy Companies. I wish though that these festivals would list vendors.

At most it say "Candyland is the centerpiece of the festival, and will feature as many as 25 candyrelatedcompanies, including Jelly Belly, Guittard Chocolate Company, Kendon Candies, DeBrito Chocolate Company and Granny Jan’s Homemade Fudge, to name just a few."

There seems to be some sort shuttle from the Jelly Belly factory.

Rworange, thanks for the post. I hadn't heard of it before. I hope to read some reports this yr.

Yeah, the tomato site was similarly uninformative. Can't help you with the candy vendors, however two of the food vendors at last weekend's Tomato Festival that I liked said they'd be back for the candy festival. That would be Little Beez for Italian ice and Merced's Doctor Donut for all manner of fried things. I'll also mention that Meyers BBQ of Vallejo had TWO stands, so maybe you'll see them too.
