Does anyone know where in New York City one can buy radicchio of Treviso, also known as radicchio trevigiano?
Whole Foods usually has it, too, but I think the season is winter, or at least that is the season in Italy..
That's what I thought too, which is why I'm surprised by all of these sightings.
GOE carries it, as well. There's also a small stand at the USQ market (the guy who has the rabbits, and some other Italian vegetables) on Saturday....
Citarella usually has it.
They carry them at Manhattan Fruit Exchange--inside Chelsea Market.
I have seen it at Eli's on Third Avenue, but I think this may not be the season (though I may well be wrong about that).
