Holiday party, Redondo Bch/Long Beach

BShoemaker Aug 21, 2008 02:05 PM

Any suggestions on where to hold a holiday dinner for about 80 ppl. Budget is a slim $50.00 per person. Sit down or buffet is fine. Would like something on the water if possible. Could be anywhere from Redondo Beach, Long Beach, Manhattan Beach etc... Figure a restaurant is the only way to go because I think hotels would be too expensive. Appreciate any suggestions or other creative ideas such as a dinner cruise or something different. Thanks a bunch!

Not sure about the price, but Cheese Cake Factory in RB has a nice room upstairs that might work for you.

Samba Brazilian Churrascaria. They walk around with the grilled meats and serve you, then there is a buffet for all the sides. The view is really nice, right on the marina. They also have a show in the evenings with music and dancers.

Khoury's in Long Beach is quite nice. I had my graduation dinner there five years ago. Food was great and service was attentive. You might be able to book their covered outdoor patio.

Papadakis Taverna in Long Beach has good greek food and a lively atmosphere.

            Isn't Papadakis in San Pedro?

Haven't been to Khoury's since they moved from Anaheim St. but it sounds like a good recommendation.

There's also a GreenField Churrascaria in Long Beach. No view though.

Went to a big birthday party at the Lucilles near the 605. Pretty good, free parking but no view.

What about the Reef near the Queen Mary? They do a lot of big groups, have a bay view, and I would think they're pretty inexpensive. Probaby less than Khoury's.

Well, it would be nice if it included 1 or 2 drinks, but since the budget is small, the guests will most likely need to purchase their own alcohol.

Thanks for the reply's everyone! This will give me a good start!

There's Shanghai Red's in MDR, they offer an online tour. http://www.shanghairedsrestaurant.com...

The Proud Bird is a thought, too.

Not sure if Joe's Crab Shack caters, but their view is nice.

you could contact the sales manager at Hornblower Cruises in MDR to see if they could work something out for Sunday Brunch that is within your budget.

              Hope this helps
