Socarrat still BYO?
Does anyone know that went recently? NYMag.com says they serve wine and beer...is that accurate because it was BYO before....
There were 4 of us and had 2 orders of the calamare (v. good), croquetas (good), fried artichoke, shrimps in garlic oil (good), cured ham plate, sauteed chorizos and they suggested that a paella for 3 would be sufficient (had the Socarrat and it did look like there's a lot more of the seafood ingredient than before).
Other than the calamare and croqueta, I'm not that overly enthused about the tapas which I think are a notch or 2 below those at Casa Mono and Boqueria.. The socarrat paella was still the standout and I agree with you that $21 per person may still be a tad too much for it.
