costa mesa vegetarians help me
So I'm doing a demo at mothers market I don't know if afterwards I should eat lunch at the restaurant here in mothers? Or go to native foods?
This is my first time in costa mesa so if there's some other hidden jewel let me know. Think cheap eats and kinda fast also afterwards I'm going to irvine so if there's something over there let me know
It doesn't have to be a vegetarian restaurant I really like a good veggie burger or a good buritto.
So yeah mothers or native foods? Or some other rec? Thanks
Not a fan of Wheel of Life and tried Native Foods for the first time last week. Got the French Dip which I don't recommend. I know they have some goodies on their menu, so what does everyone else get from there?
Veggie Grill - Tried most of their items and was happy with everything I tasted.
i ate at this place all the time when i lived in Costa Mesa - it's really really good - the prices have gone up significantly since they first opened, but it's still very reasonably priced. i liked it better than native foods or veggie grill - and it's cheaper and way better than the mothers cafe.
I think of Mothers cafes as the kind of unexciting, hippie-food-coop fare I used to eat in college: umpteen variations of tofu, tempeh, sprouts on dry multigrain bread. I shop there for stuff, but I don't eat there.
Native Foods is more sophisticated vegan food. Veggie Grill in Irvine can be ok, but I find everything oversalted. Way on the other side of town, but you might like the Thai-Chinese vegan restaurant called Wheel of Life.
