Hey there, I'm looking for a place with local New Orleans food that actually serves up good size portions. I'm so tired of fancy restaurants that serve me appetizer size entrees. Please suggest delicious places to eat that actually give me value for my money.

Yeah, I too thought of Mandinas. To me, their entrees look like family-sized portions meant for four or five.

Rocky & Carlo's in Chalmette. Delicious food, generous portions, good prices. Not fancy though. They have poboys, Italian dishes and basic plate dinners. Everyone raves about their macaroni & cheese, but I find it plain.
