Who has the best Fruits de Mer platter

Should I just assume it is Water Grill (or even one of the King's places)?

Hungry Cat has one but it is far pricier than the one at Water Grill.
I believe Comme Ca does too but am not sure what the quality and quantity might be.

I order plateau de fruits de mer whenever it appears on any menu and Comme Ca wins hands down. It is HUGE and super fresh and delicious. Get the less expensive option. At $48, it is excellent value because it is actually the same size as the $90 version but doesn't include the lobster tail. The quantities of mussels, clams, shrimp and oysters are the same.

Anisette also has excellent fruits de mer, pricier and not as great value as Comme Ca but the quality of the seafood is wonderful.

Do not under any circumstances order fruits de mer at Rush Street. Just plain awful with obviously frozen waterlogged crab and slimy oysters. Across the street the one at Fraiche is much, much better.

I had the $48 one at Comme Ca, but the clams and crabs you're describing were conspicuously absent: oysters, mussels and shrimps were all I had. They were very good quality wise and the quantity was huge, but it was a bit boring.

The variety changes according to what's fresh and available. Sometimes there aren't any crab legs and the types of oysters change all the time but it's always enormous and very high quality.

I second hrhboo's rec. :) While I liked the one at Anisette, the Grand Plateau at Comme Ca was better in terms of quality and variety (we may have been lucky with what was fresh / in-stock at the time, but we were given the full spectrum).

You'd think it would be Water Grill, but last time I had it there it wasn't anything special. In fact, I thought the seafood tower at Mastro's beat the tar out of the one at Water Grill.

Go sideways: jalea de mariscos at Puro Sabor - Peruvian crispy-light fried massive glorious perfectly fresh, perfectly spiced seafood platter. Makes people weep with joy.

Will go head to head with Fruits de Mer platters 5 times its price, and win.
