Looking for same, no car, 1 nite in Oct., failing walking distance perhaps public transportation or short cab ride. Looking for oysters. Is it possible?

happensatonce, we LOVED Oceanaire-thanks so much, we had a wonderful meal of (of course) oysters, following our waiter's recs (very knowledgeable staff IMHO) then had several starters-we were still talking about the spicy calamari days later! I will have to check the menu for the actual name of the dish, but thanks again for a great rec.

I also like the oyster bar at The Fish Market, They usually have about 6 or 7 different kinds. You also have a great view of the carriers docked over at Coronardo NAS. You are also right next to the Midway. As a added benefit, the sushi bar right next to the oyster bar is good as well.

Fish Market is right on the water very near the cruise ship terminal. While I've not had oysters there, I have had sushi and sashimi and it's been good, fresh fish every time I've been there. Great spot for sunset cocktails too.
