    1. All depends what walking distance is to you - but you will find plenty - one definite must stop is Garretts Popcorn a Chicago classis - the rick Bayless restaurants are within walking distance less than a mile are ones I would suggest -

Thanks , I 'll report back after my trip

        • Garrett's on Michigan Ave is closed. As far as food goes, Spiaggia (and its more affordable offshoot Spiaggia Cafe) are both 1 block away from Delaware on Michigan Ave. They will have many options for non fish/meat eaters. Naha and Crofton on wells are also great options with lots of veggie options.

That is a shame - I guess the closest one will be on randolph - a little bit of a walk -

            2. I am fond of FoodLife in the lower level of Water Tower Place. Also the John Hancock Building used to have a very nice lunch buffet- and good view of the city.

I second the Hancock - the 96th floor lounge is a great way to see the sunset have a lovely cold martini and if you're hungry they have some good light bar food you can order. It's our "office" when we visit which I am SAD to say we
are not doing this November ;-( we have to got to Mpls/StPaul instead.

                  • Don't miss going to Frontera Grill - they always have intetresting and tasty vegetarian dishes, and the cooking is world-class.

                      1. Last week I had a good Indian buffet at India House. It is about 6 blocks west of Grand and Michigan, at 59 W. Grand Ave. There were plenty of vegetarian items. The decor and service was very pleasant.
