MSP - Jimmy's Food and Cocktails

Anyone been here - the former Sherlock's Home? We're thinking about going here this weekend for our anniversary.

  1. GeeBee - I have. I have been there for lunch and for dinner. I don't know if you have ever eaten at Redstone in Mkta or Eden Prairie-but it completely reminds of that. Slightly upscale feel, dark wood, more for the 30-50-somethings with a variety of options--it isn't anything mind-blowing and it can be a bit spendy for what it is-but it's decent fare enough.

I am allergic to shellfish, but two of my companions who eat out often say the crab cakes were good. Not the best they've ever had - but more of the crab side, less filling as they should be.

I had the maytag blue and mushroom chicken sandwich and it was done well (though I don't really know how you could mess it up)..the mushrooms were plentiful and not full of oil, the portion of maytag was substantial enough to stand up to the chicken breast but not so much that it made you sick - and the chicken breast had nice grill marks. The argula was clean, nicely green with a peppery flavor-as it should be.

They have a nice selection of wine and cocktails-for what you may get for "anniversary fare" (steak, fish, etc) I can't comment...

      Agree completely.
