Marrakesh?

The one on Ventura Blvd, is it any good? Haven't been in years but thought it might be interesting. TIA

It's great. The fav place of my girlfriend. The chicken in Phyllo dough with the cinnamon is my fav. I've been going since 1980.

I haven't been since I moved out the area (6 yrs) but it was a favorite of ours and I agree with PhatSushi the chicken in phyllo was our favorite too though everything was good.

Wow, I live only a few blocks from this place. Would love to know more about it. Funny how one travels to other locales, but doesn't frequent the spots that are basically in their "back yard". Tonight we schlepped to a place in L.A. that we dig---"El Coyote".

Hey Jeff missed you guys at El Coyote, was there in afternoon. It used to be good but haven't been in years. Need some place for Friday night. Thinking of Olivia or Il Tiramasu. Haven't been to either.

Oliva is better than Tiramisu, yet Italian in Sherman Oaks/Studio City is truly same old, same old, no one doing the real job correctly.
With Stone Fire Pizza taking over the fondue place, the former Fabs now open, and Vitello Express, etal changing the Italian landscape, there still may be no quality operation. Dragos have dumbed down Panzanella to the point of who cares.
But that situation may be changing - stay tuned!!!
          You heard it here first!

O.K., I am staying tuned! We dined there last night. The menu is good but, IMO, not great. My husband's chicken scalopine was tasty and properly cooked and his bresaola with pinepple over arugula was tasty as well. My fetuccini with peas and ragu sauce was a sorry blob of pasta that could not be separated from its glue called ragu. Worse yet, the ragu was virtually tasteless. I ordered a cocktail before dinner at it was beyond repair. The wines by the glass were very nice though. Service was fine so no complaint there. Bottom line, Panzanella doesn't hold a candle to the rest of the Drago family restaurants and I am hoping that good things are in store for this restaurant. Please bring us up to date when you can.
