Can anyone give me a nice comparison of the flavor differences between different popular herbal liqueurs? Also, which actual help settle your stomach after eating? I'm looking for something that tastes nice and also has a medicinal function and have no experience in herbal liqueurs.

Campari is a great aperitif, it really gets your juices going before you eat. My favorite way to drink it is with orange juice, 1/3 Campari and 2/3 O.J. on the rocks

Its also great on the rocks by its self or with soda water...but its very bitter so it may take some getting used to. You may want to start with the Campari & O.J.

Another spirit I find helps me with digestion is not a bitter. It is an Eau-de-Vie, de Figue (Fig Brandy 37.5% vol.), known as Boukha Boukobsa. It has a fruity nose and you can clearly smell the sweet figs. The palate: Figs, hints of honey and a slight bitterness. Boukha Bokobsa Made in Tunisia, now you can find it all over Europe and in the US. I have found bottles of it in France, Italy etc. as well as duty free shops. Stick it in the freezer and serve it ice cold after a big meal and it really helps digestive system. The bottle says you can mix it with Pear or Apple juice, I've tried it with Apple Juice it was decent but I prefer it cold out of the freezer after a meal.

I see that on their website you can get it in the US as well.
Here is a list of Where it can be found outside of France:
