Chelmsford?

We are meeting some out-of-town relatives for dinner on a Sunday night in Chelmsford. They are staying at the Best Western in town. Can anyone suggest a restaurant with good food and quiet conversation within a 10 minute drive of the motel since we are driving almost an hour to get there? We have never been to Chelmsford and don't know the area.

Sakura, a very good Japanese restaurant on Summer St. in Chelmsford Center. Also in the center is Fish Bones, a fine dining seafood place. Just a stone's throw from the motel is a new place, Moonstones, which is operated by the same folks as the popular Cobblestones in Lowell. Google these for their websites. You will also be very close to Loewll, which has many good restaurants, mostly ethnic - more info if you search on this board and on the New England board.

I agree with both mjg and grey, we hit Sakura's almost once a week - if you love sushi. Nice and quiet, wonderful people. Infusion Bistro is on my get-to list, keep hearing wonderful things. If you enjoy great italian - Ricardo's Trattoria Cafe is in downtown Lowell.
