Just to save anyone time should anyone think this is a bug, that topic was an August 2007 post which, IIRC, was about the time the Places option started. Is this a past bug that has been fixed or an ongoing problem?

Your symptom acts like the Places links are No Longer two way. My IT experience says that the Places and/or Topics databases are corrupted; CHOW DBA, please rebuild indexes ASAP!

There were more than a few bugs going on in that tread so to restate for the topics that had this bug through Oct 2007, they remained as is.

PROBLEM: Places linking doesn't work properly in thread starter. The link will appear, and the restaurant will appear in the sidebar list, but on the Place page, there is no link back to the thread.

I forgot about that and either missed or didn't remember the one line response in that long thread.

Since I knew about the above unfixed record for Happy Dog, I linked a second time in the thread and it now appears correctly linked in the place record.

Which means clicking on the links in the OP will no longer display the problem for Happy Dog.
