Picnic ideas?

I'm creating a picnic menu for a friend's 30th birthday, but I'm running a little short on fantastic ideas. I just need one or two more items/recipes to round out the menu. I've got a graze and nibble theme going for our party of 4:

good cheeses (starting with Cotswald, no bleu, with dipping sauces (Does anyone know what sauces you dip cheese in? It's a Dutch thing, I hear.)
crusty baguette
berries
shrimp/bacon/avocado/arugula salad (b/c bacon-wrapped shrimp, a favorite of my friend, doesn't seem too picnic-friendly)

Those are some of her favorite foods and she doesn't do many vegetables. Hates tomatoes and mushrooms especially. Any other suggestions?

a nice fruit salad - I just made one of Paula Deens and love the dressing (canola oil, orange juice, honey, little lemon juice)

What about one nice muffellata sandwich, cut into 4 small pieces. they do really well on picnics (no mayo).

Ooo, I like the muffuletta idea.

And that's a great list of picnic ideas. Thanks!

To make it easier, just go to your local olive bar and mix olives, Giardiniera pickle mix in a food processor or chop and there you have an easy version of he olive mix that makes a muffuletta famous.

Trader Joe's olive bruschetta spread is a great time-saver too.

Chilled soup in a thermos -- bring some espresso or sake cups to serve in.
