I'll be in SF for 3-4 days the first week of September. Since I love hitting all the must-eat/visit spots wherever I visit, I thought chowhound would be a good place to look. So...

Which places do I absolutely have to go to for good chow? Anything from quick stop food stands to sit-downs. Feel free to throw in any non-food related places to visit too. Thanks!

If you will be in town on a Saturday, then you must hit the Farmers Market at the Ferry Building. Even if you're not, it may still be worth a visit to check out the permanent vendors in the building.

A "must do" for first time out-of-towners is to get a super burrito from one of the taquerias on Mission Street. My favorite is the carne asada at La Taqueria at Mission & 25th. Be sure to put a little salsa verde from the plastic squeeze bottles on each bite.
