Can't reply or expand, ever, for several days

Hitting report then reply doesn't work, either. It doesn't matter if it's the OP reply button, the one at the bottom of the page, or ones attached to other replies. I've only got a "learner's permit" as far as operating a computer is concerned; if I have Javascript on my computer I can't find it - it does not appear on the All Programs section of the Start menu. If there's anything you can suggest, please talk down to me!
