I'm having a 3 week vacation in Floria (visiting form the UK) in September. Tipping appears to be a bigger issue on the USA than in the UK. What percentage of the bill is an appropriate tip?

  1. 15% is "standard" most places for good service, but it is trending upwards slowly across the country in my opinion. In larger cities, "standard" is 20%. I live in a mid-sized midwestern town and typically tip 20% for good service, less for "adequate but somewhat problematic" service.

    1. Hi, This topic has a duplicate that also has replies. Please post further tipping information on that thread. We'll lock this one. Thanks!
