CASABLANCA was a little bar/cafe down the street from the Colombia Restaurant back in the 60's. We traveled to tampa a couple times a year and that was always our first stop, grab a bag of deviled crabs. We moved to tampa for about 7 months, I attended the Catholic School in Ybor City when I was in the 8th grade. I ate deviled crabs every day for lunch and a couple nights a week for dinner, and I,m not joking. I went back in the early 70;s and the building was torn down. I'm looking for information, Did they move? go out of business ? is there a place around making the same type deviled crabs ? does anyone have the recipe? HELP
Thank You

hello, I too lived in Tampa for about 40 years went to school ,mairred and retired from the sgeriff dept there. I remember an old man on a bicycle in Seminol heights area with Devil Crabs for sale $. 25 each. that tast matches the tast I remembered as a kid. Look at www.tasteofcuba.com and you will find a devil crab that sure tates like the the old man's crab's. I plan to open a small restaurant here in the north Georgia mountains with Cuban sandwiches, etc. I miss my food and I'm Norwegin,, Mickey
