Fairfield County, CT - kosher anywhere?

I have some kashrut-observing guests coming, and I'm curious if someone knows of any kosher deli place nearby from where I can take out a bunch of good deli sandwiches, or really any kosher take-out place whatsoever. (Luckily, I am aware of supermarkets that sell kosher food that I can cook).

Westport, CT area but really I'd go anywhere in Fairfield County in the name of good hospitality :)

thanks!

Here's the link to the vaad of fairfield that may help - http://www.vaadct.org/ The Shaw's in Fairfield, up Black Rock, has a pretty good selection of grocery store food, but that's the best you can do. New Haven, I think, has a deli. http://www.westvillekosher.com/

There are no kosher delis in Fairfield County. The JCC in Stamford has some take out available but that is the closest thing. New Haven's deli is closed, but the Westville Kosher Market have take-out as well as the Kosher Chinese Express in New Haven. Also, New Rochelle's North Ave. has a bunch of good places.

Depending on how strictly your guests keep kosher, they may not want you to cook in your home. I'm the Orthodox rabbi in Westport-if you have any questions I'd be happy to try to help-email me at ravyossi@optonline.net.

While the other posters are technically correct, you could order what you are looking for from Stamford Kosher: http://stamfordkosher.com/
They are closed until September (so this may not work for you), but they are a one stop delivery shop for a variety of kosher products that would not normally be available in Fairfield County.

I don't know of any kosher delis, but Gold's deli on Post Road in Westport, which is definitely not kosher, has a nice selection of kosher frozen foods/lunch meat etc. When my kashrut-observing friend came to visit that's where I went to stock up. The Trader Joe's right across the street from Gold's also has a nice selection of hekshered packaged & frozen food.
