Real NY Pizza in Valley Stream/Hewlett?

We just moved here (to Valley Stream/Hewlett) from Florida. We want a real NY pepperoni pizza. We've tried the Pizza Place on Broadway. It was okay, I guess, but not nearly as good as pizza I've had in the City or even at Tony's in Tarrytown.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

  1. IMO the 2 best pizza places in the area you mention are Gallery IV Pizza at 93 Broadway in Lynbrook, just off Sunrise Hwy, and Eddie D's Pizza at 376 N Central Ave in Valley Stream, which is north of Merrick Rd, about a 1/2 mile or so. The pepperoni pizza at both places is excellent!

Thanks very much for the reply. I think we'll try Gallery IV tonight.

Well, Gallery Four was closed for vacation (closed for vacation?), so we got a large pepperoni at Eddie D's. It was EXCELLENT! That's the kind of pizza I moved to NY for! Thanks very much for the recommendation.

You're very welcome, I'm glad I could help!

      2. Go to Blue Moon (coal oven) or Nicks (brick oven) in Rockville Centre. You could google the exact addresses.

        1. Blue Moon on North Park Avenue,in Rockville Centre. Just off of the Sunrise Highway.
          Not far form Hewlett.
Broadway Pizza has had it's day a long time ago.

          1. Try Friendly's Pizza in Woodmere at the Key Food Shopping Center. Their pizza, salads, and hot foods are excellent. And they deliver.

              It's Friendlier Pizza (no Fribbles!)...

I remember Ancona in Valley Stream being pretty good years ago.

If Nick's in RVC is as good as Forest Hills, then worth the trip

            2. Thanks for all your replies so far. I also tried Ancona. It was very tasty.

I forgot that Gallery IV closes for vacation every August (they go to Italy to see family), but when it reopens, you should definitely try them, also they have a sit down restaurant part, and all the food there is excellent too!
