I know that Perigee has changed it's Chef and it's look , as far as the open kitchen concept is gone. I was wondering has anyone been lately and how is the food now?? I know before Perigee always had rave reviews. Thanks
I didn't have a chance to try it under Pat Riley so I can't say how it compares. I went to Perigee in late June and tried the 9 course tasting menu under Chris Brown and thought each course was very well done. I would definitely recommend going.
I went a couple a months ago and it has held up well (I also went when it first opened). I do miss the open kitchen and talking to the head chef though. Now it's cooking under glass... atmosphere is still great and the food stupendous. Great wine list.
Not sure about the uniform - all those linked come from the Perigee website - who presumably pick only the favourable ones. However - a fair point on finding a young chef (in Toronto) that has a portfolio of better reviews. So where are the 'young turks' in Toronto?
