We found him to be charming and his work was incredible. A great experience. We much preferred him to Sylvia Weinstock who seemed a bit full of herself. He is expensive. Originally we'd intended to meet with at least one other person (Cheryl Kleinman) but we really liked the samples she presented us with that we hired her almost on the spot. She was so down to earth and easy to deal with. You choose three combinations from her list of flavors then meet with her in person to try them. Ours was a white cake with lemon curd, lemon cream and buttercream. Neither of us wanted fondant but she made one of the samples with a fondant disk on top so we could at least try it. It wasn't bad at all but we still went with buttercream. I've had some pretty dismal cake at various weddings. It was important to us to have a cake that really tasted good. We lucked out! Oh, and she makes you an extra "top tier" to save so you don't have to worry about your caterer removing it from the cake and packing it up. It was already packed separately!
