Halfway Cafe
This has always been a spot that I wanted to check out but which one to go too? Are they all the same and should I pick the closest or is the original the best? It seems that people are divided on this place anyway so I want to make sure I give it the best chance by choosing the right one. HELP!

I generally go to the Watertown location, as it's the closet to me. I love their turkey tips, and though their regular fries are very good, I like their sweet potato fries better, which are shoestring, and crispy. Other than that burgers and pizza are definitely the way to go. I don't eat steamers, but my friend likes theirs as well.

I can only echo the posts North of this one. I go to the Marlboro location most often and the bar pies, steamers w/garlic, burgers, their 1lb. Pearl Safari Dog and the hand cut fries (oh, those fries!) are definitely their strong suits. BTW, and I just thought of it, where's the love for the popcorn here Hounds? You know Guinness may be steak but a little vegetable on the side can't hurt. But I digress, I don't think you're going to see a lot of variation amongst their six locations. I think them to have one of the stronger management teams, keeping both vendors and staff in line. Just because they get w-a-y too many shout-outs from the the Andelman's Purple Gang I don't hold it against them. It ain't a bistro on the banks of the Seine, but then, they don't pretend it to be.

I've only been to the ones in Holbrook and Watertown. The one in Watertown can get really cramped, and I've had some less than stellar meals there (especially the pasta dishes). The one in Holbrook is much bigger, and I've had the bar pizza there, as well as the burgers/fries, both of which are really good, IMO. Especially love the handcut fries there...
