Perfect Veggies in Bath, ME

If you are heading Downeast on Rt 1 stop in Bath to get excellent fresh vegetables at Swango Farm Market. They have local corn picked that day, heirloom tomatoes and array of fresh greens from kale to salad mix. They also have cheese from Silver Moon creamery. Try the farmstead cheddar and creme fraiche . . . mmm . . .

To get there if you are coming from the south get off at the Western Ave exit just as you are coming into Bath. Turn right off the end of the exit head down the road just a quarter mile or so. You will see the stand on your left. If you are coming from the north get off on Congress St and turn left at the end of the exit. Cross over Rt 1 and you will hit a T intersection. Turn right. Almost immediately on your left you will see Swango Farm Market.

If you go in the morning say hello to Joan and ask her what she harvested that morning . . . she is the lady who knows. Bon Appetit!
