Tea &/or Coffee and a good book

Hello! Now that fall will soon be here, I won't be able to enjoy me afternoons in the park as much and need a new place to cozy up and read with a good cup of tea or coffee. Any suggestions?? (obviously some place that won't kick me out if I'm there for an hour or 2 just reading).

Thanks!! (oh, I'm and I'm a HUGE fan of bakeries too!! :) )

I just discovered M. Rohr on 86th St. between 1st & 2nd Ave. Seems like a cozy place.

I noticed that their baked goods come from Balthazar, by the way.

Cafes where you can sit, linger, read, people watch:

Housing Works on Crosby St. (right by the Broadway-Lafayette stop) is a volunteer-run used book store/cafe that does very decent coffee/tea/baked goods. I've stayed there for hours nursing a coffee and never had anyone look at me funny. And all the profits go to providing health care/advocacy/housing/etc. for new yorkers with HIV/AIDS.
