Caterers and cake in Kelowna

I'm getting married next summer in Kelowna, but I live in Vancouver, so I have no idea who the good caterers and bakers there are. I'm not having the same old traditional wedding and I don't trust wedding boards, so I'm taking it to the Chowhounds, whose opinions I can trust!

We decided that we'd like a family-style Italian dinner, and I'd like a caterer who understands that they're in the middle of farm country and doesn't try to serve me imported grapes when peaches are in season, or makes a salad with tomatoes that taste like nothing.

Cake-wise, I'm a big fan, so instead of the multi-tiered thing, I want several different layer cakes- chocolate, coconut, lemon. No over the top fondant creations. Kelowna bakeries don't seem to have websites, so I really need help here.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

There are some great caterers and bakers in Kelowna (and great tomato growers as well). The biggest issue would be size. How many guests are you expecting?
Let me know and I can try and head you in the right direction.

I think the number of guests will be directly related to the cost of the caterer, so it's going to be between 60-80. Thank you!
