Moms' Night Out in Madison
Lots of Madison posts today!
My friends and I are looking to escape for an evening of fun. $$ *is* an object and we're looking for a nice place to sit, eat and drink (so, not bar-hopping but one place for the evening).
Thanks for your tips.

The Gallery Pub in Middleton is a fun little place, good food quiet enough for good conversation too.I also love The Old Fashioned, but it can be a little loud (great drinks though!) If you are looking for more of a "wine bar", Eno Vino has a great selection and wonderful atmosphere. It can be a bit pricey, but you deserve it !

Grill,
Might consider Lombardino's and their bar. Get there between 5:00 and 6:00 on a week night and there are discounts on pizzas and appetizers.
Even if you go later, or on a weekend night, splitting a couple of pies and an app or two shouldn't break the collective bank.
Great atmosphere and if you don't have two many people, you can grab a bar table or the corner of the bar and chat away.
Whatever you choose, have a great time.

Alchemy is nice. New-ish, good beer list, really tasty food. Get the BLFT if you're there. Mickey's Tavern is also well-regarded, but might be a bit crowded depending on when you go. The Old Fashioned has the best view of the capitol building, with the best prices.
