Outstanding dinner in Miami: 1 night only

Hello, I'm looking for recommendations for the best place for a delicious dinner. It's for a foodie father/daughter duo, and we care much more about the food than the "scene."

Last time I was in Miami I ate at Escopazzo so would like to try something different.

Certainly Michy's and Michael's Genuine are fine recommendations...but if you're NYC Foodies and want to spend the $, I'd suggest Azul.

I have not eaten at Azul since Michelle Bernstein left to start Michy's. Have you been recently and if so, is it superior to Michy's? I heard Azul was still very good but not as good as it once was when Michelle Bernstein was there.

Try Michy's , I also like Michaels Genuine. I think I like Michel's better when he is at his best, but it is less consistent than Michy's. Michaels is at least good though. Most people think michaels is the best restaurant in Miami now.

I prefer Michael's Genuine to Michy's but Michael's is definitely and "sceney" place. Would you consider italian food? If so, I'd suggest Osteria del Teatro on South Beach. I think it is fit for foodies and the service is friendly and terrific. I assumed he was from nyc because of his name but I could be wrong. That is why I did not mention italian places.

Michaels may be a sceney place because everyone wants to go there but it is not designed with that intent.
