Mexican in Malvern?

tomishungry Aug 14, 2008 08:41 AM

Hi hounds,

Displaced Californian now working in Malvern, PA. Desperately seeking a decent burrito. If there are any other ex-Silicon Valley people out there, I'm looking for a La Costena, Burrito Real (sadly closed), La Bamba level of burrito, but I'll take what I can get.... Recommendations to al pastor burritos are highly welcome!

I know about all the South American food in the old Italian Market area in Philly. I'm looking for something reachable for lunch.

In Phoenixville---just several miles up Rt 29 from Malvern is Los Mariachis.

Food and service are great. Call ahead and it'll be ready when you arrive.

two places of medium quality locally, both the same chain

Mesa Fresh on Lancaster Ave in Frazer (by the shopping center w/ the DMV and SuperFresh and Cheeburger Cheeburger), and there is also one in Gateway Shopping Center towards KofP.

If you extend "Reachable for lunch" you can get to the Mexican places in Norristown, maybe 15-20 minutes by car from Malvern.

Mesa Fresh is actually pretty decent. We live closer to the Frazer location, but somehow the food at the Gateway location always seems better.
