Are reservations necessary at Taverna Fiammetta on a Wednesday night in early September? If so, do they have a website or should we just phone when we arrive in Rome?

No ... you will not need reservations before you leave, but I would definitely call from the hotel in Rome. I do not think they have a website, but you can just call when you arrive. I have been here 3 times -- lunch and dinner, and we were the first to arrive, and when we left each time, there were people lined up. You will love the food -- very basic, good hearty, tasty Roman dishes. Have a great trip.

Thanks PeggyD. We'll be arriving to Rome that day, so I'll just phone them as soon as we get to our hotel for dinner that night. Sounds wonderful.
