Richmond, VA: Fresh Pasta??

Anyone know where to get fresh pasta in Richmond? I believe Mainy Pasta closed a while ago. I heard there's a place way out past Short Pump but I'm not looking to go out that far.

You can still get Cavanna pasta pastas and sauces at the Ukrop's in the Village Shopping Center at the intersection of Three Chopt and Patterson. It's in the Chefs Specials case. They usually have several different kinds of pasta and sauce.

i live very close to there and agree that cavanna is great. only negative is that it's hard to know what they'll have before you go in. the biscotti they had last fall (especially the pumpkin) were divine.

Cavanna Pasta in the far West End is the only place I know of that sells it. It's worth the drive. Good sauces also. At one point they were also selling their pasta at Ukrops in The Village Shopping Center at Three Chopt and Patterson, but not sure if that is still the case. Their website is cavannapasta.com

Can also get it at the Tuesday afternoon Farmer's Market behind the William Byrd house in the fan - it is spectacular!

And at the South of the James market on Saturday morning. I haven't tried it yet, but I think I am going to save up my pennies for that crab ravioli.

FYI- I tried going to Cavanna Pasta last Saturday. They have new summer hours that I did not see on their website. I got there at 10AM and they didn't open until 2. So I had to get boring dried pasta from Ukrops. Ho-hum..maybe next time.

Yes, that's the one! Starts at 8:00 and I suggest getting there fairly early. It's getting more and more crowded every week, it seems. I love it, though. We have been regular customers. It ain't cheap, but worth it, imo.
