did a search on fleur de sel - nothing recent has been posted in chowhound. in general, the internet reviews are dicey. some have said the service is terrible there and the portions are way too small. some say it's incredibly romantic. i've always been curious about it. i need to take my mom-in-law for a nice meal, with classy low-key vibes. please help me. please. she's my mom-in-law for the chrissakes.

I think it's perfect for a meal w/mom-in-law. I didn't have any service problems, and I found portion sizes to be just right.

This is the perfect place to take a mom-in-law for a nice meal with a low-key vibe. I've recommended it to friends twice for just that purpose, and it's worked out well each time.

        This is quite recent:

I think it's the kind of place that a number of 'hounds like and frequent, but don't necessarily keep posting reports on. It's on my list of places to try, but I still haven't made it there!

I'd say it works for classy low key. I've been there a couple of times, I always like the food but would agree the portions are a bit small. I'd give it a go.

We went for lunch a few years ago. Everyone in my party of 8 enjoyed it. Classy, sunny place. Never been for dinner, though, so don't know.
