I've read Crawdads are out of season, but when are they in season. We will be in NOLO Oct 25th. We would like to find an all you can eat kind of Crawdad Feast open to the public. Any ideas? Thanks
The Times Picayune has a list of festivals as well:http://www.nola.com/festivals/
First of all, you're not going to get anywhere calling them crawdads, they are $17.89/pound as soon as you call them crawdads. They're crawfish and I'm afraid you'll be out of luck in October. You'll have to come back again in March.
Probably won't see any in October, and if you do, they'll be small. Spring is the best time for crawfish.
