Hot Dogs in Ocean City NJ

There is a new place in OC called the Hot Dog Hut. The owner is a woman from Newark NJ so the place has a North Jersey slant. She even has Italian Hot Dogs. We were there last night. I had a Texas Wiener (although I had to order it as a dog with chili, mustard and raw onions) They serve Best all beef hot dogs and you have a choice of steamed or grilled. The dog was very tasty and the chili was great. (You can buy it as a side dish.) French fries were very crispy and hot, with a bottle of Stewart's root beer on the side. Next time I will go for the Italian. When we finished we stepped nextdoor to Treats and Treasures for an ice cream cone.

It's at 33rd and Asbury, right behind Treats and Treasures. It's just a walk up window with sidewalk tables, but the food is good and the owner, Ang, is very friendly.

Sorry to say, the Hot Dog Hut is gone. A breakfast and lunch place will be opening at the site. I'm hoping the HDH is just relocating. I will keep an eye out.
