Cointreau and Fruit
Does anyone have a good recipie for using Cointreau with fruit?
I always sprinkle a little Cointreau over fruit pie and cobbler fillings before baking.
I also serve strawberries macerated in Cointreau over Mascarpone cheese and/or Angelfood cake. This is always a huge hit at dinner parties.
Well I made a real easy summer dessert that I got from Giada's Everyday Italian. I used a small seedless watermelon and a cantaloupe and used the melon baller. I marinated the fruit in some simple syrupwith chopped mint and a couple dashes of Cointreau. It tasted really nice after an hour or so. You can server in either melon if you like.
