Agree with ems - memorable, Il Mulino; great food, Coco Pazzo. But to be fair, I've not eaten at Il Mulino. But it was featured on "Check, Please!" just this past weekend, so you could probably find the episode on the PBS/WTTW website.

New guy here but my wife and I used to love Pane Caldo. Unfortunately, the food quality and service seem to now vary widely. The wine pricing seems to have gotten (sp?) even higher, they're in Spiaggia's league now, and also shorter. We haven't been in a year but I definitely don't think it is as good as it has been in the past.

It depends what you're looking for. Il Mulino is more formal and theatrical. Pane Caldo is a bit less formal. The food at both places is good - not great. Coco Pazzo is a bit less of a scene but probably a bit better food. My guess is that if you're looking for a memerable experience you'll find it at Il Mulino.
