Anyone have one of these? If so, what do you think of it as a toaster? Thanks.

  1. I just googled it... WOW! I'm in the market for a new toaster, one that goes with my new kitchen but I'm looking more for toasters that have 2 long slots rather than 4 short ones, for longer pieces of bread.

But the Viking toaster is really kewl!

The Viking comes in 2 and 4 slots...

"Agency certified for home use, the Viking toaster is available in two- and four- slice models. Its wide slots adjust to fit bagels and other larger items such as breakfast pastries"

Wow, it offers "restaurant quality toast at home." I guess I've just been living a lie until now.

yep, I saw that, but they're short wide slots, not long slots, for long pieces of bread... wide vs. long is the problem I'm having.

like this, this is what I'm looking for... http://cdn.overstock.com/images/produ...

ah! got it...the picture is of a four slice model with 2 slots for longer pieces of bread...this model used to be much more common, (the 2 slice model was narrower with one long slot) they seemed to have regressed to the standard shape, I wonder why, since it seems like a much more usable configuration!

I know! argh! I want a *cough*cheap*cough* stainless steel 4-slice 2-slot toaster for my new kitchen dammit!
